Each year, Wisconsin Pork Association sponsors a recipe contest during the Wisconsin State Fair. Everyone knows serving foods on a stick is a long-time state fair tradition, so this year the contest challenged participants to create a recipe with pork served on a stick. The recipes were judged during the fair based on creativity and originality, presentation, ease of preparation, and taste.
This year’s winning recipe was submitted by Jan Schwartz, Franklin. As the first place winner, Jan received $50 and a West Bend slow cooker. Three other top placing entries also received kitchen appliances donated by West Bend. To view the winning recipes, click here.
